Wellness meets sustainability
More than ever, guests care about your sustainability credentials, particularly when it comes to spa and wellness retreats.
At S&P our dedicated environmental team including architects, services engineers and an in-house Certified Passivhaus Designer. This means we are uniquely placed to help you put environmental responsibility at the heart of your spa and wellness offer.
In all our projects we consider sustainability through design, construction, and operation by seeking design efficiencies in the use of materials, energy, and development space. This includes following the UK Green Building Council definition and framework for Net Zero Carbon Buildings, to include the following considerations in our design process:
Reducing embodied carbon by carrying out whole life carbon assessments of new developments, and ensuring that carbon impacts are considered at each design stage.
Reducing energy demand through low energy envelope design, passive design, efficient plant and automatic controls.
Increase renewable energy supplyby prioritising on-site renewable energy sources.
Offsetting, which can be considered once all other feasible methods of reducing carbon have been exhausted.
